Queer Youth Filmmaking

Classes run July 11-22 from 12pm – 4pm at Oklahomans for Equality (621 E 4th St)

Reelness provides a safe space where LGBTQ+ youth can meet, learn and create together. Participants will study several aspect of filmmaking, including: how to use a camera, editing software, and screenwriting. Youth ages 14-18 are invited to attend a free  two-week summer camp immersed in the film-making process, learning various roles to complete a short film project which will be screened at a special red-carpet event. By using the camera, participants can tell their stories while empowering themselves through film.
